After the approval of the services to be rendered, JLP Sealcoat will schedule a day and time to do the work. You should make sure that the driveway is completely cleared of all objects. (vehicles, basketball hoops, wood piles, etc.) It is also very important to make sure that if you have an irrigation system that it be turned off the night before and left off 24 hours after the sealing is completed. All pets should also be kept off the driveway during this time. JLP Sealcoat will edge the grass line and completely clean the driveway and or walkways to be sealed free of charge. If the grass lines are excessively overgrown a small fee may apply. We recommend edging to be done to ensure all portions of the driveway are sealed. The edges deteriorate faster than any other part of the driveway. After the driveway has been sealed it will be blocked off with flagging tape to keep traffic clear during the drying process. Drying time usually varies depending on the temperature and the amount of sun the driveway gets. It is recommended that cars stay off at for least 24 hours. More time is recommended if the driveway is very shaded. Most often a small disposable sign will be left at the end of the driveway. Usually it will be picked up within a week.
